Was treated extremely rudely because I made a mistake with using the incorrect pronoun as I thought I was speaking to a woman on the phone from the front desk but apparently it was actually a "man"? When I approached I said "were you the lady I was speaking to? " As she / he said they'd see me at the front desk and they said yes but clearly showed their displeasure with me failing to see that I should've recognized her/his chosen gender of being male based on the clothing being worn? □□♂️ I was confused and patience should be shown until all 50 states have had time to educate their citizens regarding this new etiquette that's required to be respectful and not offend someone as I've not encountered a situation like this before. On top of that I chose this property thinking it was a staid, normal, classic hotel type option compared to the other clownish snowflake hippie dippie boutique hotels that populate downtown PDX however, realized that I was mistaken once arriving and seeing their choice of flags hanging in front a massive BLM ✊□ flag and Trans □️⚧️ Rainbow flag? Almost 3 inches of space between the hotel room door & floor creating a lack of privacy as anyone in the hallway can hear every word spoken or even whispered in your room.
